Bright talent

Summer rain the darling to heart has silvered a landscape, has made precious a simple wooden bench on a terrace and scattered semiprecious stones on petals of roses in a bouquet. «A wet terrace» — who did not admire Alexander Mihajlovicha Gerasimov's this excellent landscape, one of the oldest Soviet artists-realists, nowadays left from us.
The academician And. M.Gerasimov, pupil K.A.Korovin and V.A.Serova, all life piously stored traditions of Russian realistic school. He has created a number of remarkable portraits of contemporaries: A. M.Moskvin, S.J.Marshak, a group portrait of the oldest Soviet artists, O.V.Lepeshinskoj's portrait and many other things.
Many excellent pictures belong to its brush and remains in gold fund of the Soviet painting. The first among them — «Lenin on a tribune».
Many forces were given by Alexander Mihajlovich to business of formation of the Soviet realistic art. It the first president of Academy of arts of the USSR.
All of us who knew A. M.Gerasimov, never we will forget its bright national talent, its humour and cheerfulness and especially its love to native Russia. Such it also remains at us in memory.
